Göteborgs Väg- & Anläggningsbyrå (GVAB) is a civil engineering and construction company with nearly 50 years of experience in projects of all sizes. With experience, flexibility, and smooth comprehensive solutions, we help all our clients realize their projects, whether it concerns new construction or maintenance and service. We offer services in asphalt, land, and construction work, as well as maintenance and care of gardens and green areas, external cleaning, and winter road maintenance. Our clients are primarily municipalities, industries, property companies, and road and housing associations in Greater Gothenburg and surrounding municipalities.

Since our start in 1977, we have prioritized sustainability and actively work with environmental and quality efforts within the company. With ISO certifications in quality (9001), environment (14001), and occupational health and safety (45001), we guarantee that our projects meet the highest standards.

Our annual turnover is approximately 80–90 million SEK, and we have nearly 30 employees.

Chief Executive Officer

Responsibilities

As CEO, you will ensure that the company maintains a good relationship with its customers and that the customer base is broadened with new clients. You will lead the company's management team and be responsible for working broadly with the company's vision and goals. As CEO, it will be important to continue developing the company with better structures and processes within the business to grow and acquire new customers. This applies to the entire chain from order to delivery of assignments. Implementing a culture that works with continuous development and improvement will be another important part of this work. We are now broadening our customer base from being dependent on a few clients in recent years to having a more stable customer base with both industrial clients and clients in the public sector. Our ambition is long-term growth, with the goal of achieving significant expansion in the future.

Your profile

We are looking for a person with great drive, commitment, and integrity with experience from the construction industry. You are accustomed to the ways of acting, interacting, and conducting board and management work in owner-managed, entrepreneurial companies. You have strategic insight, business potential, see opportunities, and thrive in an entrepreneurial culture.

Background/work experience

You have at least 3 years of experience as a CEO or experience from a similar role with cost and revenue responsibility, including personnel responsibility. We would like you to have previously undertaken a growth journey at a company within the construction industry and have experience in driving change processes. The place of employment is Gothenburg.
